What is Coffee for Singles?
Coffee for Singles is an Atlanta community for single adults who want real friendships and community, not more dating or matchmaking events. We host intentionally curated events that make it easier to meet people, try new things, and build friendships as a single adult.
Our events include Atlanta coffee shop meetups (and other metro cities), coffee crawls, organized runs/walks on the Atlanta Beltline and Silver Comet Trail, cooking classes, games, chats, and much more.
We are starting with singles events in Atlanta and virtual gatherings for our wider online community, with a vision to grow Coffee for Singles into a network of metro city communities across the country.
Why does Coffee for Singles exist?
Coffee for Singles Collective exists because there is a growing number of single adults who want community and to make new friends, not just more dating and matchmaking events.
Across the United States, more adults are choosing not to marry, are marrying later in life, or are moving in and out of relationships on their own timeline. Yet most singles groups and events are still built around one thing: finding a romantic partner.
Many of the spaces that claim to serve singles rely on:
• Speed dating and high pressure matchmaking.
• Woe-is-me conversations that treat being single like a problem to fix.
• Messaging that suggests there is something wrong with you, or that there is a magic formula to manifest your mate.
What was missing were communities for single adults who simply wanted:
• To make friends with other singles
• Curated, meaningful events that make it easier to find their tribe and build a real community, in real life not just on social media or group chats.
So we created Coffee for Singles!
We use coffee and shared experiences as the connector, and community as the focus. We don’t host dating events or matchmaking services.
Who is Coffee for Singles for?
Our community is designed for people who:
• Want spaces where they can be themselves and meet new friends with shared interests.
• Are looking for a new tribe to simply do life with, not a string of random social events that never turn into real connection.
• Value a diverse mix of people and want to be around singles from different backgrounds, ages, and stories.
• Have found themselves as the only, or one of the few, remaining single people in their friend group.
• Enjoy a variety of gatherings such as coffee meetups, cooking classes, walks, runs, hikes, game days, creative workshops, and even day trips.
• Identify as introverts, extroverts, or somewhere in between and appreciate events that are thoughtfully designed for both.
Our events are never set up for matchmaking, speed dating, or forced romantic connections. You’ll never need a plus one for our events. Every Coffee for Singles gathering is designed to help you build community, make new friends, and build a single life that feels full and connected.
You do not have to live in Atlanta to be part of this community. We host virtual meetups for our online members and in-person singles events in Metro Atlanta, with plans to bring Coffee for Singles experiences to more cities as interest grows.
